What is a disposable vape?

A disposable vape pen, also called an all-in-one or AIO vape, is a slim device that holds cannabis oil and a small battery in one sealed piece. It comes filled and charged, so there is no cartridge to screw on and no battery to buy. You inhale, the battery warms the oil into vapor, and when the oil is gone you recycle the whole thing.

Disposables usually hold 0.5 to 2 grams of oil. You will find distillate pens with added flavor, live resin and live rosin pens that keep more of the plant's own terpenes, and blends with minor cannabinoids like CBD, CBG or CBN aimed at a particular mood. Check the label for the strain type, THC percentage and lab results.

How to use a disposable vape

    Take off any rubber plugs or stickers from the mouthpiece and the bottom of the pen.

    Most disposables are draw-activated: just inhale gently from the mouthpiece. If yours has a button, hold it while you inhale.

    Take a short, slow 2 to 3 second draw. Long hard pulls can burn the oil and clog the airway.

    Wait 10 to 15 minutes before taking more. Vape effects come on quickly but can keep building.

    Store it upright at room temperature, away from a hot car or a cold windowsill.

What is a disposable vape pen?

A disposable, or all-in-one (AIO), vape is a small device that comes pre-filled with cannabis oil and has its own built-in battery. There is nothing to attach or refill. You use it until the oil runs out, then recycle it.

Are disposable vapes good for beginners?

Yes. There are no settings to learn, and you can take a very small puff to see how it feels. Start with one short draw and wait at least 10 to 15 minutes before taking another.

How long does a disposable vape last?

It depends on the size and how you use it. A 0.5g pen is often a few hundred short puffs and a 1g pen about twice that. Many disposables have a USB-C port, so the battery can be recharged until the oil is gone.

My disposable is not hitting. What should I do?

Check that all plugs and stickers are removed, then charge it if it has a port. If it is clogged, warm it gently in your hand for a minute and take a few soft draws without the button pressed. If it still does not work, bring it back with your receipt and we will take a look.

What is the difference between distillate, live resin and live rosin vapes?

Distillate is a highly refined THC oil, often with terpenes added back for flavor. Live resin is extracted from fresh-frozen plants and keeps more of the original terpenes. Live rosin is made without solvents, using only heat and pressure, and usually costs the most.

How much vape oil can I buy at once in New York?

Vapes count toward the New York limit of up to 24 grams of concentrated cannabis per day, the same in-store or by delivery. You must be 21 or older with a valid ID.

How do I throw away a disposable vape?

Do not put it in household trash or recycling, because it has a lithium battery. Take it to a battery drop-off or a household hazardous waste collection day in your town.
